MUSCAT : The latest financial bulletin issued by the Ministry of Finance indicates that the government also settled over RO 749 million in dues owed to the private sector through the financial system by the end of June 2025.
However, the state’s public revenues declined by 6 percent year-on-year, reaching RO 5.839 billion by the end of the second quarter. The ministry attributed the dip mainly to a decrease in oil revenues.
Public expenditure, on the other hand, rose to RO 6.098 billion, marking an increase of RO 292 million, or 5 percent, compared to the actual expenditure during the same period in 2024.
