Alappuzha backwaters get new two-hour sunset cruise

The State Water Transport Department’s evening service departs at 5.30pm and extends its existing See Kuttanad operation.

ALAPPUZHA — Kerala’s State Water Transport Department is launching a two-hour sunset cruise on the Alappuzha backwaters on Monday, adding an evening service to its existing See Kuttanad operation.

The cruise is scheduled to depart at 5.30pm, taking passengers through Punchiri, Mangalassery, Vembanad Lake and Punnamada Lake.

G. Sudhakaran inaugurated the service, which offers visitors an evening journey through the region’s interconnected waterways.
