Apollo Tyres signs ₹579 Cr deal as new jersey sponsor of Indian cricket team

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has secured a new jersey sponsor, with Apollo Tyres stepping in to replace Dream11 in a record three-year deal worth ₹579 crore.

Mumbai: A senior BCCI official confirmed that Apollo Tyres will become the official jersey sponsor of the Indian cricket team, ending weeks of speculation after the sudden exit of Dream11. The move follows the government’s ban on real-money gaming platforms under the new Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act 2025, which forced Dream11 to shut down its money gaming services.

The tyre major’s sponsorship deal, valued at ₹579 crore, surpasses the previous ₹358 crore agreement with Dream11 for the same duration. The contract covers 121 bilateral matches and 21 ICC fixtures, making it one of the most lucrative sponsorship agreements in Indian cricket.

Dream11’s exit left the Indian team playing the ongoing Asia Cup in Dubai without a jersey sponsor for the first time in years. In early September, the BCCI had issued an Expression of Interest for new lead sponsor rights, excluding companies linked to real-money gaming, cryptocurrency, tobacco, and alcohol.

Apollo Tyres, a Gurugram-headquartered multinational with manufacturing units across India and Europe, now takes center stage as the fresh face on Team India’s jerseys.
