NEW DELHI : Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke with French President Emmanuel Macron on Thursday to review pressing global issues, including the war in Ukraine and ongoing tensions in West Asia.

PM Modi described the interaction as “a very good conversation” with his “friend” Macron, highlighting their shared views on the importance of diplomacy and peaceful conflict resolution.

The two leaders also emphasized their determination to deepen the India–France strategic partnership, which spans defense, space, nuclear cooperation, trade, and technology. Their exchange comes at a time when both nations are seeking to strengthen coordination on global security and regional stability.
