Gulf GDP rises to $466.2 billion in Q1 2025, non-oil sector powers 73% of growth

The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) economies continued their momentum into 2025, with the region’s GDP at constant prices reaching US$466.2 billion in the first quarter.

MUSCAT : According to the latest data from the Statistical Center of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, the GCC’s economic performance highlights a significant shift towards diversification.

Non-oil activities accounted for 73.2% of the region’s GDP at constant prices during the first quarter of 2025, while oil-related sectors contributed 26.8%, underscoring the bloc’s growing success in reducing its reliance on hydrocarbons.

On a quarterly basis, the GCC’s GDP recorded a marginal 0.1% increase compared to the fourth quarter of 2024, which posted US$465.5 billion.
